As you know, I love supporting animal charities and one which is a firm favourite has to be The Mayhew, who I’ve been fortunate enough to work with a number of times now. Not only do they do incredible work helping rehome the dogs and cats of London (just one of the amazing things they do) but they also know how to put on a brilliant event. Guess what? They have two dog charity events in London coming up in the next few days which I want to tell you about. Get your diaries out…
The Mayhew’s Christmas Fair: Sunday 27th November
The Mayhew’s Christmas Fair is held at their wonderful HQ in London. Expect stalls to pick up gifts for your friends (four-legged and two!) a festive raffle and tombola with some exciting prizes on offer no doubt, Christmas carols as well as an opportunity to meet SantaPaws himself! Feel like getting creative? Well there are even Christmas crafts AND bauble decorating on hand if you fancy getting in touch with your festive creativity this weekend! All of this for the bargain price of £3 for Adults and £2 for children, with all proceeds going to The Mayhew to help them continue their work.
The Mayhew’s Tinsel & Tails Ball: Tuesday 6th December
Now this is a truly special affair! A dog charity event in London with serious style! Imagine getting dolled up for the night, arriving at a wonderful venue to be spoilt with a sumptuous 3 course meal, great speeches and fab prizes? If this wasn’t good enough…your four-legged friend can be your date for the night!! Amazing!! I went last year with Ted and it was such a special night. You really feel like you’re on the red carpet when you arrive and the fun begins from the moment you step through the door until the clock strikes 12 and it’s time to return home (there may not be a glass slipper in sight but plenty of dogs for you to meet, should you decide not to bring your dog along).
I’m so disappointed I’m unable to attend again this year but that shouldn’t mean you miss out (although I may turn a slightly shade of green with envy when I hear your stories!). To find out more and get your hands on some tickets, take a peek HERE.
