Roll those sleeves up and switch the oven on, as it’s time to get baking for your dog this week! And do I have a recipe for you!?! Well, as Prince Harry & Meghan Markle will say this weekend, “I do!” I’ve got some super easy dog cupcakes for you to make this week and I’ve given them a Royal Wedding theme! Your dog can enjoy these at any time though, but these would be pawfect to enjoy while watching the nuptials at home. So what are you waiting for?! Get your dog ready to try out our scrumptious Apple, Banana & Peanut Butter dog cupcakes…

ONLY 5 INGREDIENTS

I’m going to hold my hands up & admit I’m not the best chef out there! Are you with me?! Even if you’re a whizz in the kitchen, I hope you’ll find some time to try out our easy dog cupcakes this week. What do I LOVE about this recipe? You only need 5 ingredients! The dream! I’m not exactly destined for Masterchef anytime soon, so simplicity in the kitchen really appeals to me. Plus it narrows down the chances of me getting anything wrong (then I’d really be in the dog house with Ted & Millie!) This recipe was inspired by Sugar Free Alex but I’ve given it our own twist & have amended some of the measurements of ingredients too.

THE PROCESS

Once you’ve added all the ingredients together, you should have something which resembles this below. It’s then ready to be baked for 20 minutes.

And then voilá, once the heat has ‘done its thing’ you should then have something a little like this…do make sure you leave time for it to cool down – we don’t want any burnt mouths!

If you want to make it even more of a treat, you can add a little bit more peanut butter as some frosting.

*When feeding your dog something new, always feed in moderation though to avoid any tummy troubles. Also obviously make sure you remove the flag garnish & wrapping before feeding to your dog and ensure water is accessible too.

THE OUTCOME: PROOF IS IN THE TASTE!

So the proof is in the taste…were they yummy?! I think Ted & Millie would say a resounding YES! As I know a number of you feed your dog a grain free diet, it’s worth noting, these cupcakes are also grain free. Yippee!!

Now wasn’t that simple? Told you! Believe me, if I can make these, you most definitely can! When making this again, I would personally opt for special doggy peanut butter. Whilst I did my research, I was still a little concerned about any potential hazards lurking in human grade food. You can find great options online (Neoh & Nobu or in larger shops such as Pets at Home).
