There are so many animal charities up and down the country doing incredible work and I’m always on the lookout to find more! One which caught my eye on Twitter over the last few months is Holly Hedge Animal Sanctuary in Somerset. So without further ado, let me introduce you to two of their longest standing residents who would love YOU to help them find a home! Come and meet Midnight & Frankie!
INTRODUCING MIDNIGHT
#SundayDogStories: This handsome boy is Midnight, a five-year-old German Shepherd x Labrador and guess what?!! For three of those five years of his life, Midnight has been looking for a home. The mind boggles how such a gorgeous boy hasn’t been lucky enough to find a home after all these years! He did have one once, but it didn’t last…but that doesn’t mean it can’t happen again, can it?!! Midnight needs help from all of us to spread the word about him as I’m certain there must be a home out there for this boy.
Given his breeding, Midnight is a big lad and with that comes a lot of strength, so he will need an experienced owner (one without children) who is able to handle him. He is great at listening to commands though and would be a faithful friend; he just needs someone who’s willing to show him something his life has been missing for these three years…security and love. INTRODUCING FRANKIE
#SundayDogStories: This cute chap is Frankie, a gorgeous four-year-old Crossbreed. As with Midnight, Frankie is another resident who has also been looking for a home for three years!! How is this possible??! Frankie was given up for adoption as his family had a baby and felt they couldn’t give him the time he required. Sadly this is a very common story and dogs like Frankie are the ones who pay the price…
The way Frankie has paid for it is shown by his fear related issues and nervousness of new situations (completely understandable when your life has been turned upside down through no fault of your own!) Despite this, Frankie loves to be loved and would adore a human of his own to look after him and spoil him with cuddles and fuss; two of his favourite things! With some patience, time and security, Frankie could make a perfect four-legged companion. He’d prefer to be the only dog in the house (he certainly deserves all attention on him if you ask me!)
