YES!!! It’s back!! Our #SundayDogStories are making a return for 2017! You seem to like reading them (YAY!!) and I’d like to continue to ‘give back’ and help spread the word about dogs who haven’t yet been lucky enough to find a home they deserve. It seems the pawfect partnership (& hopefully you’ll help me with my quest!)

To kick off, I’m featuring two dogs from a charity I’ve grown to know and love during 2016: The Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre (DBARC). This amazing charity has become a firm favourite of the blog, as you can see here, so expect to see more in 2017! This week I’m introducing you to two of their residents; the Wonderful Watson and Perfect Pedro. Come and meet the first duo of 2017 looking for YOUR help to find a home…

INTRODUCING WATSON

watson-schnauzer

Could you be Sherlock to this Watson?!

Wonderful Watson hasn’t had the most ‘wonderful’ start to life. At 18 months of age, Watson the Standard Schnauzer has already had two homes. His original owners had him from a puppy, but decided they could no longer keep him (sadly it happens far too often). Watson was fortunate to be rehomed by his litter brother’s family for 3 months, but despite their best efforts, Watson’s brother wasn’t too happy about having Watson at home (he wanted his paw-rents all to himself!)

So where does this leave Watson? Well he needs a home he can call his own…forever! Do you think we can help him find it?! Watson is a typical Schnauzer, oozing friendliness and love. Given his breed, he will need a very active and stimulating lifestyle (and about 4 trips to a groomer per year to maintain that gorgeous coat of his!) Given what Watson has experienced in his most recent home, he would suit a home where he is the only dog (and given the time he has waited to find a perfect paw-rent, I think he definitely deserves a home where he can receive ALL the attention!)

INTRODUCING PEDRO

Pedro would love a home for 2017

Well isn’t Pedro just a perfect little Crossbreed?! He’s approximately 18 months old and was rescued from a dog pound, having been handed over as he was “no longer wanted.” Unbelievable! His fate at the pound was uncertain, but thankfully Pedro is now at DBARC. All he needs now is a home of his own where he will be really wanted!

DBARC have said he is so friendly with both humans and dogs and just loves to be loved. As his background is unknown though, he will need to be in a home without children under 12 years. This boy has had a tricky start to life, so his ideal home would be somewhere where he receives the attention he deserves, with lots of interaction, lots of fun (and probably a bit of extra training so he can put his smart brain to good use!)

Think Pedro could be a great addition to your home? Find out more HERE.

#SundayDogStories

Thank you for reading Watson & Pedro’s stories. Please help spread the word about them on social media and let’s find them a home for 2017! Wouldn’t that be a lovely way to start the year? Thank you DBARC for collaborating with us. Keep up the great work!!
